Welcome to “The Numbers Game #107”. Today’s number is 229 . To play along, go to your photos file folder and type that number into the search bar. Then post a selection of the photos you find that include that number and post a link to your blog in my Numbers Game blog of the day. If instead of numbers, you have changed the identifiers of all your photos into words, pick a word or words to use instead, and show us a variety of photos that contain that word in the title. This prompt will repeat each Monday with a new number. If you want to play along, please put a link to your blog in comments below. Here are my contributions to the album.

A great gallery Judy. I like the palm trees, the trees shadows on the coloured ground but that boy king with the grumpy face made me laugh 😂

I couldn’t find a place to comment on your blog. I am fascinated by the shoe sculptures. Looks like they are fashioned from felt. Was it an installation? Where? Always enjoy your pix.

Thanks Judy 😀
My comment box is at the end of the comments from others I thought 🤔
The footwear sculptures was a while ago so here’s my faded memory.
They are real shoes, boots and sandals
Perhaps an epoxy resin applied
The coasting was sand.
It was part of an annual exhibition called Sculptures by the Sea in Sydney at Bondi

Oscar does not want to be boy king most definitely! Is that a Stick Bug or praying mantis? Great capture

I couldn’t get your blog to accept my comment, but I love all of your photos. Hard to pick a favorite. I, too, love coming upon those old photos and remembering the occasions they record. I also love the looks of your blog. Cheerful and fun without being hard to navigate. As to your questions, the bug is a praying mantis and the boy is Oscar, Yolanda’s son, now 21 years old and still doesn’t want to be a king!!!!

I love the sulky boy with the crown, clearly he wants to be elsewhere.

Yes. That is Yolanda’s son Oscar who is now 21 and my official dog-walker and problem solver. I taught him to speak English so he is often translator as well! He had been elected as one of the classes “kings” for the spring celebration. I think he was the winner but he looks a bit uncomfortable in the role. His mom made him those unfortunate blue satin bloomers.

All those gorgeous flowers! The buttons, the miniatures, that praying mantis… the little boy with the crown does NOT look happy. ~Ed.

I commented on the situation to Lou, above. It helps explain who it is and what is going on.
