Care-less
Lately I don’t give a thought to what I’m going to wear,
and I’ve let my hair grow down to my derriere.
No longer do the men I meet ever stop to stare,
but it doesn’t bother me. I simply do not care.
The dVerse Poets Quadrille prompt today is “Care.” To see other responses to the prompt, go HERE. Image created with AI.

You’ve earnef this. I understand
much love

Thanks, Gillena. I’m sorta reading the mind of the woman pictured…not really my personal thoughts.

Haha! Love your attitude. I only dress up if I’m going to meet friends. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I must admit that I do still care how I look. The poem was not actually about me but about that woman I created with the help of AI.

I love the image – one of self-possession and truly being in the here and now – which is always good! Jae

For once, AI produced one fairly quickly that I can use. It is usually more of a frustrating process. If I can find one, I use my own photos, but in this case I couldn’t find one of me to suit the prompt and didn’t want to project these thoughts on anyone else I’d photographed, so…had to rely on AI to help.

I don’t know – with magnificent hair like that and such a classic profile, there would surely be some stares of admiration.

You are right..and bet she would be interesting to talk to. Not me, you understand, but a manufactured image.

I feel the same (mostly), but I’m happy to have some hair.

How recent is your photo you use for your blog? That’s a pretty cool photo.

I’ve had my hair cut for the summer, otherwise, yes, your quadrille resonates, Judy.

Actually, I’ve taken to cutting my own hair…and I haven’t had long hair for at least 25 years.

Must admit the devil made me write this poem. I actually do care how I look most of the time and despair at the fact it gets harder and harder to look presentable.

I love the Devil-may-care attitude in this one, Judy! 😀
Gorgeously rendered ❤️❤️

Thanks, Sanaa. must admit it is hyperbole.

OMG, same!!! I love how you expressed this. I’m one month retired now and the thought of blow-drying my hair or deciding which business suit to wear is horrid. You have captured this feeling soooo perfectly.

A bit exaggerated here, though I must admit I’ve given up on mascara.
