The Epistoler, for The Sunday Whirl Wordle 779

The Epistoler

One persistent lunatic, he urged incessantly
for me to view the letters that he had written me.
Mere pranks, they held the bones of words, lacking pulse and skin.
Only a fool would open them to see what lurked within.
His ghastly mind existed in a world the devil cast––
dark and cruel and twisted. Interminably vast.
If he goes east, I must go west, my hand curled in a fist.
The world would be much better if he did not exist.

For the Sunday Whirl Wordle 779  the prompt words are: letters urged exist pranks view incessantly west fools lunatic bones ghastly vast

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.
