I spotted this hibiscus through the open wall in the garage as I got out of the car, but when I went to take its photo, I found that the leaf cutter ants  had gotten to it  before I did!

I know. I have to stop publishing photos of these yellow hibiscuses, but they just keep putting out new blooms and I succumb.  See the bud on this one, taken yesterday? It is probably in bloom today.

A bougainvillea vine lush from recent rains hangs out over the wall into my lower garden as though to catch a glimpse of the just-completed Quetzalcoatl sculpture down below. It’s been two years now since I started working on this reclamation from dumping ground weed patch to community garden. More to come. And yes, I have decided on a name. A secret for now.
