This is my inside entrance wall leading from the garage to the kitchen. The first stone on the left hand side of the ledge was carved by a friend, the second carving of a face by my husband Bob, and the raccoon rock is from the garden of my friend Gloria.

Closeups are deceiving. These yellow flowers are actually minuscule, as you can see when I show them next to the other plants in their planter. Look again and you’ll see the little creature that has spun those web lines between the flowers. The plant is a euphorbia mata francisco, I believe, but I am open to being contradicted.

This was a huge leaf from a rubber tree that fell whizzing past my head during a writers’ group reading at the Nueva Posada. For some reason, it just captured my fancy.
