A Nap in the Park, for Cellpic Sunday, May 25, 2025

Another nap in the plaza––different day, different plaza. This time, I got caught. When I snapped the first photo, he must have heard the shuttler click so unbeknownst to me, until I viewed my second shot, he had to have a peek at who was taking his photo.

When Juan Pablo brought my car back to me after taking it for servicing, he brought a surprise––not only Santiago, but an adorable new puppy!  The next day, when they came to see me, bringing the puppy, I reached out for it and Santiago yielded me his prize, but then made his usual beeline to the doggie lineup on the other side of the dining room screens. Once I put the puppy down, It took a little while for curiosity to win out and for him to actually approach the screen.  Next time, perhaps we’ll take him outside.

for Cellpic Sunday: An Abundance of Flowers.

Harriet, Patricia, Judy and Amelia–This year’s “Wild Woman” writing retreat participants. I asked for a flower arrangement on the table, but they got a bit carried away. Here I am carrying it home:

I’m standing in front of a mural on the front of Viva Mexico Restaurant. The woman in blue to my right is also me and the man with the shadows of the flowers obscuring part of his face is Forgottenman.  When we got home, I divided the flowers into 6 bunches and everyone took some come.

Below is Judy Reeves, the resourceful leader of our workshop who was not in the first photo because she took the photo:
