Orchid.

Have you ever seen a blue orchid? The flower vendor swore it was its natural color.

Orchid

I took this picture some time ago at a nursery but have never used it because I really don’t like either the angle nor the color of the orchid. I decided to play around with cropping.

There was something skull-like about the center of the orchid. I liked the color better when lightened, but still, the flower was just too busy.

I think perhaps I like it best in black and white.

This is another of my friend Steve Frowine’s gorgeous orchids. I’m wondering if he was able to take them back with him when he moved back to the states.
