Housebound Sunbathing: A Photo A Week

Although for the past two years my 18-year-old cat Annie has refused to stir outside the house, she has recently become very enamored of lying below the low light positioned to light up the two stairs that lead up from my bedroom to the hall. I guess it is the next best thing to sunlight! Obviously, the stack of books I had laid there to remind me to take them up to the living room bookcase served as no hindrance to her comfort. Blue July

For the month of July, Becky wants square images featuring the color blue, so here are a few of mine. If you’d also like to read a poem I wrote about blue six years ago, go HERE.

As usual, click on any image to increase the size of all of them.

One by One (Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge)

A fortunate synchronicity that Cee’s prompt this week was photos of individual things, since last week at Open Circle, I for some reason was driven to bring out my camera and in looking at the photos, I realized that all the photos I took were of individual living things. One little bird that remained alone on that wire for at least 20 minutes. One little sprig of hair sproutin from the head of a man five rows in front of me. Was it in the no-man’s land between the extent of his reach on each side or a unique styling decision? One little flower on a tree far away with one little bee mining it, and one squirrel that descended the tree next to the speaker, distracting all of her listeners.  Then, by the time I could get my camera out, it had run up the tree and out on this limb to disappear into the foliage.

“To the Point” Challenge

Did you mother tell you not to point? Well, you’re all grown up now and I’m telling you you can point all you want to. From pointed toes to pointed comments, this is your place to express yourself.  Photos or words or both—all interpretations of the prompt are acceptable. The prompt is open until June 30, 2019. Please put a pingback on your post to lead your readers back here to see the posts of others or perhaps to join in themselves as well as putting a link on this page in comments so we can see your post.  Be sure your pingback works as they may need to be done manually. Hop aboard! We’re off to all points north, south, east and west.
