This little lady, whose grandparents and folks are friends of mine, helped show me the house her folks just bought. She was very enamored both with the giant teddy bear the former owners had left in the garage and the plush carpet. Her folks wrote the teddy bear into the offer, so both will remain in the house! The last time I saw this little miss, she was a baby who was just leaning how to walk. Nowhere is the temporary nature of nature more evident than in infants of any sort—human or animal. My own kittens should be fully grown by the next time I see them. I hope the same is not true for the cutie who is the subject of this photo shoot.

This is my new house and my new room. I get to sleep in it all by myself!
Teddy was in the garage but the nice real estate lady brought him in to greet us.
I was the only one who greeted him back.
Everyone was taking so long that I asked mom for a drink of water
and I drank
and drank
and drank
and drank
and drank
and drank.
Okay, time to go down stairs.

Hey, the play room is this way, that’s just the laundry room!
At least Grandpa is willing to follow along, but I hope he doesn’t run over me!
Mom and her friends and Grandma seem stuck in the laundry room.
Dolly and I are ready to go, but no one is picking up on our signals.
Dolly is more restless than I am because she can’t even flip over on her own
no matter how she tries,
so I help her a bit
and join her for a little chat.
I gave Mommy a little hug, hoping she’d get the hint,
but she wanted to show us the original plans for the house that she found in the laundry room.
Mommy and her friend are so excited about the laundry room
I guess I’ll figure it out when I get older.
Time to go, Grandma. Here’s your walking stick!

I know. Seeing photos of my kittens now turned into cats and this little girl who was a baby last year when I last saw her brought this point across and how!

How old is she? I ask because one of the children in my Nanowrimo story is four years 4 months — I think a little older than this girl. I imagine by four most girls will be talking quite clearly.
