These two ladies arrived at the beach together. The younger bikini’d woman drew a Hexagram in the sand and stood there for at least 15 minutes, the older woman standing in exactly this same pose 5 feet behind her and about 5 feet to the left the entire time. I never have been able to create a story to explain what was occurring. Can you?

The lady at the back must have been wondering what was going on, with the diagram on the sand and standing inside it :))

I have a feeling this wasn’t the first time such things had happened, but she was so docile and unmoving. I think the picture warrants a story but so far I haven’t come up with one.

True, a very nice story, it is wonderful how some scenes lead us into the world of imagination.

Pact with the devil…maybe the older lady isn’t a lady at all….

Judy, I have the full explanation of the whole scene and it’s a cracker but I am assuming two things so please tell me asap if I’m wrong. 1) they were like that when you came upon them and you did not actually see the lady in the hexagram ( it’s a hexagram 44 by the way not a pentagram) actually draw it and then stand in the middle without making any other marks in the sand; and secondly the beach is in Mexico on the Carribean shore of the gulf of mexico not the Pacific side of the country.. Story will appear in next 36 hours under title “To meet or not two meat?”. btw why did you stand glued to the scene for so long? . Thrilling yarn will appear in a day or two. Saludos. Anton

Anton, This scene occurred right in front of my porch and I did see them arrive and watched them the entire time. The beach was in Mexico on the west coast at La Manzanilla. The woman stood in one place and drew the star around her.

Judy,Even better! This is as I hoped and the explanation is half a story of mine and half a practice that can be traced through many Eastern a and Judo/Christian cultures. My years wasted studying ecclesiastical history does have its uses – about once every 25 years 🙂 Have a good hols back home ! Cheers. Anton.

The woman in the hexagram is preforming a religious ritual and the woman behind her is either one of two things: a woman remembering the days she looked like that in a bikini, or it’s the hexed woman’s mom…just waiting for her daughter to
1. finish
2. come to her senses
3. all of the above
Or…the woman standing behind is like us….just wondering.

So you are going to tell me about this ceremony you describe, right? What part is an actual rite and what part you are creating? Is it a Jewish rite?

All good guesses..I must admit I was thinking not about times when I looked like that in a bikini but that I never did! Ha. I love all of your alternatives for the mom…or possibly her employee.

It is funny. The lady at the back must be confused and wanted to solve the pentagram mystery.

I would think it is a Star of David and has something to do with the Jewish beliefs. It is not a pentagram because it has 6 points. That much I know for sure.

Yes..I didn’t investigate fully enough. It was an interesting view nonetheless as the two women arrived together and there was such a contrast between them…

I visited this photo three times and it is difficult to make something out of it… but it appears to me that the bikini gal is practicing some sort of pagan ritual as a possible wanna bee wiccan, and the indiscreet woman just behind her is standing there because she is an actual shamanic person who can see and work energy and is doing just that. That is my take on it.. ? but who knows, maybe the Mexican woman is just curious and is watching for what happens next. how is it going so far ? love s

Really nice trip. In the hotel here in Mazatlan. They wouldn’t credit last night’s changed reservation but oh well. Just money. Ocean view, pool and restaurant.

That is a truly odd scene! My guess it was some kind of healing ritual…. perhaps waiting for the water to wash away pain. Hmmmmm.

Lots of info on the spiritual significance of the hexagram in numerous belief systems. Who knows what might apply here? You can take your pick.

you ar all getting close but the nearest is reference to the multilicity of the various interpretatons of the star’s lines in relation to the angle of the girl’s feet. 2 clues only befoe my story reveals all. a) how many of you know the difference between hexagram 44 and hexagram 55, and why are both numbers missing from the symbol in the sand? b) it helps if you know how Aztecs and ancient Chinese are related. Judy I’ve changed the story title to ‘the symbol in the sand’. continue enjoying your long vac 🙂 Anton

Anton, for some reason I didn’t see your comment before, but Forgottenman just pointed out to me that it isn’t a pentagram so I came back to change my comment and saw your comment. Now I need to research it.

Beyond me? But I am glad you made it of the beach alive! They must not have sensed your presence! BE VERY CAREFUL!

I am long gone from that beach, Roger, as are they. Have no fear.
