IMG_1603Want to tell them why the drapes are tied up in a ball? IMG_1672Want to tell them what that is in your mouth,Morrie??? Uncomprehending innocence … or more to the point, the firm and unyielding belief of ALL Scotties that it’s their house anyway and you are just there to supply the food, treats, cuddles, toys, and of course, a comfy place to sleep on the sofa. Bonnie was never destructive, except to paper. She cannot resist anything paper, to this day. But fortunately — unlike some other canines we have had over the years — she doesn’t chew up remote controls or furniture. She doesn’t EAT shoes, but she will drag them out of the house and bury them in the yard where they don’t turn up until the rains unearth them.

I do know the story of Frieda, Diego and Trotsky from “The Lacuna” which Barbara Kingsolver wrote. Quite a threesome! I also think you’d enjoy the YouTube video of “Guilty Dog” , the golden retriever, which brings to mind the antics of Morrie and which made me laugh until tears were rolling. They do know when they’ve been naughty…and they do have a conscience!

I can imagine that Morrie and Pabu could make some great mischief together if you ever bring him along on your travels. Pabu will be happy to share her toys.
