I sprinkled seed from an earlier zinnia plant over this plot of dirt left after I dug up a big cactus to transplant. My plans were to put a fish pond here, but I can’t bear to dig up the zinnias which have been blooming almost constantly since. You’ve seen them at other stages, but this is what they look like now. They are loving the rainy season!
I love the detail of the shadow in this closeup.

WOW!! Judy, these macros are spectacular. I couldn’t have done better myself. 😀

I actually couldn’t resist snapping those Zinnia shots as I was doing a very fast walkaround for the “under foot” prompt. I was already running late for an appt. but wanted to get one more post in before I left. The flower pics I could crop at my leisure this morning…Thanks for kind words.

Macro lens? If you don’t have a macro lens, then I’m even MORE impressed!

There is a macro setting on my camera which actually I’m having alot of problems with..I think it is great and I just don’t understand it. Only way it seems to focus right is to totally unzoom it and get up as close as possible to the subject. Seems like I should be able to zoom in instead but when I do, it is out of focus. You have to realize I am completely an experiential learner. I never ever read instructions. It is a glitch in my personality.
