Poinsettia is a subtropical plant. They grow to tree size here in my part of Mexico. I’ll take a pic of a houseplant given to me as a housewarming gift 14 years ago. I planted it outside and then built my studio in front of it and forgot it. Just this Xmas, I noticed it peeking its head over the top of my studio. It demands to be seen even though it had to grow 15 feet to do so!!! Happy New Year, Olga.

Didn’t know that a poinsettia was subtropical. I learned something new in 2016. Ha ha! I’m amazed by how tall it can grow. Interesting that you forgot about it for so many years. Happy New Year also, Judy.

Everyone associates them with Xmas, so they seem like a cold weather plant but in fact they prefer a warmer climate. Or 70 degrees and up in a nice heated house!
