Half a Love Story
Lately, when it comes to kissing
something seems to have gone missing;
for if the kissing rules are heeded,
it’s clear two pairs of lips are needed.
I have the half that’s labeled “me.”
I only lack the one called “he.”
So when it comes to birds and bees,
I must rely on memories!
The one-word prompt today was “Incomplete.”
So sweet, I love your response to this prompt!

I’m not surprised that you would respond to this piece. I’d just read a number of your posts before I selected it, so I think your aura was still hovering. You are the prototype protective mama bird!

I like your take on the prompt. Half a kiss is better than no kiss at all.

I adore your blog mainly for how symbolic and meaningful your poetry is. I really look up to your blog for inspiration and poetry tips. I recently got more into it and I tried it out for myself. Would love it if you could give me some pointers. Please check out my take on the prompt at https://morescoopplease.wordpress.com/ and give me some feedback!

Dear One More Shot. I have spent a good deal of time considering your poem and have a page of comments (are you ready for that???) but don’t want to give them publicly. See my comment made under that poem where I request your email address… Judy

Muchas gracias. Wish I could stay here for a few more months and make more. I have at least 100 lbs. of raw collage material to pack up and take home.
