They look like ironwood. You’re in the right place for them. They are the most interesting trees I’ve ever seen.

I have no idea what they are. I love how they don’t cut trees in Mexico. There is a long street in Ajijic where the trees actually are out in the road. You have to swerve around them…like in Carmel, CA. It is illegal to cut down a tree here unless you plant another.
