Ancianos: Sunday Trees May 8, 2016

These gnarly old trees on a backroad that runs up to the carretera between Jocotepec and Ajijic seemed to me to be dancing. Please click on them to enlarge the photos.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

I have no idea what they are. I love how they don’t cut trees in Mexico. There is a long street in Ajijic where the trees actually are out in the road. You have to swerve around them…like in Carmel, CA. It is illegal to cut down a tree here unless you plant another.
