My very first favorite flower. They grew tall beside our back stoop and every summer, we’d make Hollyhock dolls out of them. I found these outside the “Anne of Green Gables” house on Prince Edward Island. Click on first photo to enlarge.

Hollyhocks are such a strong reminder for me of my grandmothers huge country garden, the swing that hung on her back porch, and a much simpler time.
