This little pansy, if not for its vivid violet color, would be lost among its giant neighbors in this nasturtium patch.

        When I wrote “he” I was surprised, as I always see flowers as feminine. Then I decided to leave it as I’ve discriminated against male flowers for long enough! (Are there even male flowers or are they simply a pollen-producing part of a female flower? I’m sure someone will set me straight.)

    Maybe the violet likes it there?

    I once grew some trailing Nasturtiums that were almost bionic in their aggressiveness. I though it was the nasturtium from hell … eventually, the frost killed it. Yet until then it grew and grew, smothering all in its path. No amount of trimming or pulling seemed to phase it. Cheers Jamie.
