There were a few costumes at my friend Audrey’s Halloween party that were like magnets to my camera. These two kept drawing my eye because every change of expression was magnified by the face paint. Somehow, these particular paint jobs rendered the wearers an incredible goofy sweetness that I couldn’t stop photographing. They are sort of eerily irresistible.
For other eerily irresistible costumes and faces, look HERE.
ha.. I know. I never wear foundation or powder or eyeliner, but I did because I was a gypsy..One woman said, “How can it be that every time I see you, you look younger?” I’d just been noticing all the wrinkles, etc., so it must have been the makeup. Ha.
That lady was just in the plaza, sipping coffee and flirting with a man at the next table. When I walked to my car an hour later, she was walking home in front of me… She dressed up for DOD–pretty dress, too, walked to the plaza for coffee, and then went home. Perhaps she had other plans that night. There were big doings at the plaza, but I took photos and went home. Other photos to follow in time.

Very impressive makeup there! Proving my theory that you can wear anything, but it you have the makeup, the costume is a mere afterthought 🙂

Me, too. I have a number of great facial makeup shots, being that we just had Day of the Dead, but decided not to spring them on you all at once.
