This is a new plant, under a year old, and the original flowers were a bit sickly looking, but the three new blooms have turned out well. A bit longer and narrower than the blooms on the huge plant I got from my friend Chuy just before he passed away.  I had that plant for at least ten years before Pasiano managed to kill it while I was gone for a considerable amount of time.

      I’ve had trouble growing them. The huge one slowly died out over the years. Never found the right spot and when I was gone last year sun shifted and P. left it in the sun..At end of 2 months when I got home, it was dead. I mourned its loss.

      But it is sort of fun to start from scratch. like filling an empty canvas. And will get you out in the community to meet more people. Aren’t I the Pollyanna? That’s what really got me out into the world when I moved to Mexico. My house didn’t even have appliances. No furniture. Very few plants. I got to know the town and Guadalajara shopping for necessaries.

        Well said. In my case it happens every two years. I always pray that I should also get a well maintained lawn for once. By the time it comes in shape it’s time to move. Nevertheless I love planting saplings and watching them growing

          You will be the Johnny Appleseed of India..The Johanna Sapling seed. The fact that it happens every two years earns you my sympathy. That would be so hard and you do deserve a lawn for once. Lucky is the family that moves in after you, though. What is your husband’s job again? I know I once knew. Is it military-based?

              Will he always be moved this often or might that change? I know the same is true in the U.S. One of my close friends had a husband in the military and I think she said they lived eleven places in the time they were married, never more than two years in the same place. I wonder why they do that.

              He will always move frequently till he doesn’t hang his boots. Though I love exploring new cities and meeting new people but stability issues will always be there. At least tenures should be extended to three to four years.
