I took these photos for a friend who had sold his house and was trying to sell these sculptures, some of which he had carved, others the work of another artist who passed away recently. Can you guess which one now graces my patio? If you are interested, I can put you in touch with him!

Good guess as in the past my choice would have been a bird, a fish or the figure of a woman. I even wrote a poem about this. In this case, however, it is the large benchlike three-piece slab form.

I really like the gargoyle, but I have a thing about gargoyles. We used to buy art. Unfortunately, these days, we are a little weak on the financial thing.

I would have said (and picked) the mermaid. 🙂 My ex built a similar bench and stone table for my parents’ garden.

Yes.. the mermaid was my second choice, but the slab sculpture was a gift!!! Can’t beat that.
