My lot slants so much that when I’m in the pool I’m pretty much looking at the top of the plumeria tree, where most of the blooms are. Steady rains for the past three nights have certainly washed them free of any dust and brought out their colors.

You must live in a garden paradise with all the beautiful flowers you photograph! I saw ‘plumeria’ and thought of those in Hawaii and have now learned they come in other colors. 🙂

I saw a yellow one the other day. I believe that’s the first time I’d seen one that color, at least outside of Hawaii. And you are right, I do live in the garden of paradise. This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever lived. Bali and Australia were the others. And the Redwoods of California. And prairies of South Dakota. Oh, and Huntington Beach and Los Angeles weren’t bad either. Nor was Wyoming. I guess there are so many definitions of beauty when it comes to nature. The deserts of Arizona where my parents lived? Better stop now.

You are right. Every time I think one place is the best, I think of another. I’m going to Redwoods-northern CA and Oregon coast this summer for the first time. Looking forward to exploring a new section of the country. 🙂

Actually, I’m allergic to floral scents but for some reason I have never smelled the plumeria. Perhaps I am too plugged up to! Ha.

This is weird. I have a plant the nursery said was a plumeria, but it’s got little purple flowers on it. And tt’s not a tree. Is that possible?

Are the flowers about 3 inches across and the branches very thick and pulpy? The leaves are long and come to a point and fall off after the flowering period is over.
