I have burro tail as well, but it is much more fragile than this one, which grows upwards while the burro tail grows down in a waterfall.

Yes, you’re right. This is like, but not really a burro-tail, whose “leaves” grow more toward the stem.

Sorry for being a know-it-all. I promise, I’ve forgotten more things than I remember re/ plants and gardening. Actually, re/ my whole life! But I’m looking out of the window at a burro’s tail so it jogged my memory. I appreciate comments. Promise a moratorium on corrections for awhile, Christine.

I actually was given a burro tail, but it was neglected and got bugs, sprayed, left out too long, and is now in such sad shape. — kind of like someone who barely survived a major smashup. Hopefully it will someday look like a burrow tail sedum again.

I fear that even though they don’t need hardly any water that my gardener underwaters them when I’m gone. My ten year old gorgeous burro tail didn’t survive my last 2 month absence, but I see it has actually grown out again from nothing, just from the nubbins that fell off into the soil. I have it in a human head planter that once again sprouts a full head of flowing hair.

My sedum has been hanging in there for a year or so, and now I brought home a plant for Mother’s Day that must have had tiny pests on it. They spread to my African Violets, of which I have many. So I’ve just done another major blasting and washing — rough on AVs. Don’t know how much will survive that. 😦

I don’t think I’ve ever had a pest on succulents..except, perhaps, for snails. A few hair cuttings sprinkled around do them in nicely. They get under their shells and drive them crazy so they exit, pronto.
