          An artist friend says it is the peyote in the soil that leaches out into the Indian corn that is multicolored. The people eat it and develop an enriched taste for color.. Ha. I think he is serious and at least metaphorically, it works.

            That’s interesting that the enhanced colors from eating peyote would last — it’s possible, I guess, but I thought you were going to say that the peyote in the soil enriched the colors in the flowers! Either way, a good inspiration for the colors used in the art and architecture of Mexico!
