Payback Rhythms
The rhythm of the world as it tears us all asunder
is of hurricane and fire, rain and wind and thunder.
Fissures, ashes, ruins waterlogged and crumbled—
all advances of mankind his foolishness has tumbled.
What we do to it it does right back to us.
This scientific fact is not so nebulous.
Prompt words today are nebulous, fissure, sunder and rhythm. With the exception of the UPI photo of the hurricane, all photos taken by me. Click on any photo to enlarge all. Please give photos a few seconds to load and focus.
Absolutely true. But nobody is paying any attention.

Some are. Especially some of the very young who are speaking up clearly and trying to shame the powers that be. I hope it works.

You’re right. We all should speak up and do our part.

Oh, my word — are these all from the recent hurricane we’ve seen on the weather maps? I do hope you’re ok! What a collection of telling photos!

No, Janet. They are from the past but most taken in my neighborhood or from my house! One flood/avalanche, several wildfires. Others from near the house I have rented on the beach for years.

Oh, good — I have thought of you this past week, but thought you are farther south than the Pacific storms. Glad to know they are not current photos! They definitely paint a picture of the effects of climate change!

We were supposed to get a tropical storm but it veered west. We got some of it but no wind and just some rain. Most of day overcast.
