It is certainly the end of the rainy season in my part of Mexico. Everything is lush green.

How lovely to see the greens! At least they won’t burn so fast as here!

Horrifying. I’m watching the L.A. fire get closer and closer to where I lived when there.

Don’t now if you remember — the evacuation area has been the 405 to Temescal Canyon, and Sunset Blvd to Mulholland Blvd. There is an equally big area to the west of that, going out to the ocean. The fire has been quiet today, and they are furiously mopping up hot spots before tonight’s winds begin. The fire, started by a tree limb hitting a DWP line causing sparks, burned 612 acres, 12 houses and damaged 5 more. BIG winds predicted overnight and all day tomorrow. My Go-box is ready, and will be by the back door; will fill the car with gas, and back it into the garage tonight. I’ve never been even that little prepared before, but this is scary — doubly so because of the hole in my attic wall!

The area would green up around you in the rainy season. Wonderful photos. 😀
