King Neptune’s Joust
Who seeks to best the ocean’s roar
is just a fool, and no more—
delusional right to his core.
The protection of the knights of yore—
that plaited metal that they wore—
was but a many-chambered door
that led them to the ocean’s floor.
Very true. Armor didn’t help them when it came to staying on a horse, either. Enemies knocked them off with a pole and they became helpless as turtles on their backs. 😦

At least turtles can swim in the ocean. Knights can’t even stay on the surface!

I think that when we work too hard on defending ourselves we make ourselves vulnerable to threats we didn’t even realise existed. Lots of lovely rhymes here.
