She could never abide them. Never cuddled up to them. Hissed when they got near. Yet, for the last month she was alive, she suddenly left the house for the first time in two years and started eating out of their communal dish outside, ignoring her own feeding stations inside. So strange. They didn’t object and they now are leaving 1/3 of the food as though they expect her to come back. They are probably not missing her, though, as she was very cranky when they came around her inside.
Cats are funny animals. I had a friend who had two cats. One was a dominant lap cat, and the other an attack cat that would pounce on his arm if it was outside the chair arms. The lap cat died, and suddenly the attack cat became a lap cat! I love that the others are leaving 1/3 of the food for Annie, even despite her crankiness!
Too cute, Judy. 😁

Wonderful cuddling! — doesn’t look as if they miss Annie at this point, although I’m sure they do!

That happened with my dogs. When Frida died, Diego adopted her personality–the opposite of his own.
