About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

I loved that poem and musical. I think I saw two different productions of it. Great lyrics. Great music. Great costumes. But I guess that is stating the obvious. I have a friend who is so tired of hearing the songs that she hatest them but I’ve never gotten tired of them.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the musical, and now I missed the movie too! But at one time I knew each of the cats by name and knew all their personalities! We actually named a kitten Rum Tum Tugger — he always wanted to be inside when out, and outside when in!

Okay.. I have seen the 1997 version but not the newest 2019 version which hasn’t had very good reviews. I also saw it on broadway and it was great. I’ve changed this comment three times. Am I making you dizzy?

I just looked it up — the 2019 version is just finishing its first run. It didn’t get very good reviews — 28% liked it! And I may actually have seen the musical version, or at least heard the songs when they were new — have forgotten much of wht went on in that time frame if it wasn’t work — I was just in the process of changing jobs, and work really dominated my life!!
