About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Oh, my — a beautiful tree! And the last shot answers the questions I had about the shadows on the wall, too! Interesting that you don’t really see the white petal against the wall up on the tree (or maybe you do, and the scale diminishes it). The color of the wall really added to the sumptuous feel of the other photo! Thanks for sharing these!

One of my favorite ever trees was a huge royal poinciana next to a freeway in Honolulu. It was a fully round tree, in the shape of an umbrella — and beautifully brilliant red in the flowering season!
