Since I’d just had the house fumigated less than two weeks ago, I was distressed to walk into the bathroom and discover a scorpion on the floor! Please click on the photos below to see and read about the rest of the story.

Well at least you know the fumigation worked

Right. All things considered, I was glad it was a key and not a scorpion, pride taken into account.

Oh no!! The key is dead. How will you revive it?

Luckily, keys are even harder to kill than scorpions.

I’ve had a similar experience but only when I’m not wearing my glasses. Objects always look bigger than they are is one problem 😵💫

So funny, so you finally found your house keys and also found out that you need a trip to your eye doctor… But the one photo does look much like a vinegaroon. Oh I must check my showers closely, they come up in the drain~!

I’d never heard of a vinegaroon! Sounds like a salad dressing addict.. ha. The photo of the scorpion was actually a photo of a little wire sculpture of a scorpion. I took these photos after and couldn’t get the right light on the key. I swear it looked exactly like a small scorpion in low light. The ring looked like its claws held out before it. I was so careful to stamp on it several times as I knew how tough they can be to kill and often feign being dead and then scurry away. And my sandals were barely more than flipflops. Oh, I get weirder day by day!

Ironically enough, I’ve just been to the eye dr. and got new glasses, which I was wearing.

This is a Mexican name for the Thelyphonida scorpion, which has no long tail, but a long stinger instead, they emit an odor like vinegar, and looked a lot like your keys (or your keys looked like them as the case may be~!). I thought you might have them down there as they start near the Rio Grande and on into the chihuahua desert. I must take photos of my iron bugs to compare with yours, I will try to do that today.. Can’t get a good photo of my ginger flower, but posted it this morning.

Oh good. Buggy views…I actually love insects. I find them so interesting and really hate it when I have to resort to killing them. Only mosquitos, flies, roaches and scorpions. Anything else I carry outside or throw into my lower lot.

Well I am OK with most of them.. As a kid I would filch my dads magnafying glass and go out to look at bugs… But a cricket is not lovable at three in the morning calling she~! If it were after daylight I would take him fishing with me~! But instead I keep a can of “FLIT” by my bed. Actually most of the rest are welcome, look at the leaves on the flower photos I take, not so much what is there, but rather what WAS there, ate and left~!
HAY IT IS RAINING AT LOS PERDIDOS~! Welcome here, bet not there lately.

Well ditto except for a YELLLING cricket at three in the morning~! If was later in the day I would take him fishing down at my lake but instead I get out the flit… By instead of what you call you new garden, how about something more romantic~? Like: Jordan Hermosa Bajo hermosa

Crickets drive Forgottenman crazy as well. They always just remind me of home…when I was little…and their noise filled the air at night. Comforting.
