A Dream, A Wastepaper Basket and Glenn Yarbrough: The Power of Intuition
Today I was looking for a YouTube video of Morrie playing basketball and stumbled upon this talk on “The Power of Intuition” that I gave years ago at an Open Circle Lecture Series in Ajijic. There is some introductory material, so if you jump ahead to the 6 minute 30 second mark, you will start viewing at the introduction for my talk: “The Power of Intuition.” Hope you enjoy it. Thank you so much for sharing your talk, Judy!

Just finished listening to your youtube talk, Judy. I enjoyed learning about your experiences and how you attribute them to opening yourself up to intuition. Uncanny the amount of serendipity through your experiences. You’re a good speaker!

Thanks, Lisa. I had totally forgotten about that speech and was surprised to find it on Youtube. It was a bit like listening to someone else give a talk.

You’re welcome. It was well-composed. You did a good job of pulling it all together at the end. I’m glad I’m not the only one these types of incidents happen to. It’s good to know it happens to others as well.

I think it happens to everyone. Have you written about your own “happenings?”

Here and there along the way but not altogether.

I loved listening to this. I know intuition runs my life when I listen. I think it brought us together. And I’ve met Rod McKuen! I’ll tell you my funny story one day. Thanks for the great talk.

Thanks for watching. I know it was long. When you look at the odds of meeting anyone you feel deeply in touch with and work back through your life, you realize how many chances there were to totally miss out on contact.. and life takes on an interesting weave. Don’t forget to tell me your Rod McKuen story… J

So glad you enjoyed it. It was a bit embarrassing posting it, especially because Forgottenman informed me I’d posted it before a few years ago. I’m hopeless. On to the next thing and the past vanishes…I really did watch it with no idea of what was going to be talked about next. One advantage and disadvantage of getting older, I guess. Maybe I shouldn’t throw away all those old videos I’ve been meaning to get rid of.

No you shouldn’t get rid of videos where you are in them. 😀

Oh, no. I mean the video movies from years ago. One part of me says I’ve seen them and shouldn’t waste time watching again. Another part realizes it’s been so long that they’ll seem like new movies to me. Rehash and relive or be on to new adventures? I guess writers need to do both.

You need to keep them too. 😀 😀

It was good to see and hear you, Judy, but I did find it very difficult to follow. Maybe the acoustics or the particular Youtube recording. I gave up after 20 minutes
