Sometimes hard to distinguish between agaves, cacti and aloe. After a long search, I’ve settled on agave, but I’m willing to be persuaded. An interesting fact. All cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are cacti.

Well now I would play it safe and just call them all succulents, but a cactus has no leaves…(but I always thought it was a sticky leaf) and I leave you with that~!
But then what is a sotol~? The answer would be: it is a rosette succulent and makes great tiquila~! Good Morning~!

Yes.. I read that but then thought what qualifies as leaves? are these leaves??? Ocotillos definitely have leaves and flowers and they are always called cacti. Perhaps they aren’t. Aha. The plot thickens. Ocotillos are not cacti! They are relatives of the boojum tree.
