Can you see the woodpecker high up in the palm tree above these bougainvillea branches? And, can you see the “bird” in the second shot as well? I think the fallen palm sheath suspended in the snarl of branches looks like an exotic long-tailed bird perched on a limb of the bougainvillea as well.

I had to look closely. They are hard to photograph. They like high spots. We had tons of them in CA, but if you’ve seen my blog, you haven’t seen many pictures of them. 🙂

I have two that come to my tree every morning. They are so high up and yes, hard to photograph. My trees are higher than these.
