Is it time for a new bed for Zoe? This is a photo taken today:

This is what Forgottenman said to me when I jokingly asked him if he thought I should invest in a larger bed: “She’ll need one eventually when you realize her grandfather was a St Bernard. Maybe get her a bigger bed now and put them side by side. Let Zoe decide.”
As you can see in the photo above, Frida and Diego were the same size. Now see this photo of Diego and Zoe together so you can see how large a very small dog (such as Frida was when she was the size of Zoe) can become:

I like the idea of letting Zoe choose — at least for a while!

She chooses Diego’s huge bed and he sleeps on the floor. Can’t believe how indulgent the big dogs are towards her. She’s the little queen.

Then I’d say she’s chosen — it’s time, so that Diego can have his own bed back!

The baby is growing. She should be comfortable, so I vote for a new bed. Could you donate it when she outgrows it? Ditto for the current one?

That’s a good idea, although I love her little bed. I got it for the kitties but I don’t think they ever used it. I put it away and just found it when i was reorganizing the garage so resurrected it for him. He still likes curling up in it for now…or sprawling out over it. Perhaps I can find the same bed in a larger size. I think he sorta likes being in the cage, as well, though. They all do. No room for another cage in the doggie domain, however. J

I know..I just mean it would be hard to donate it, not that I won’t get her a bigger one. Funny though, even when she was tiny, she used to hang herself over the edge of it and sometimes sleep with her head on the floor.
