Zoe Wins the War

I sent this video to Forgottenman today and he insisted I had to put it on Youtube and put a link on my blog. I always mind, so here it is. She was about a month and a half old when I recorded this big event.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

I know. It gets embarrassing as I feel like a parent foisting her kids on people, but as you can see, doesn’t take much encouragement to overcome my hesitations. Leslie just arrived. Hooray. We are getting together on Monday. Wish you were here, too. Are you coming next year? You know you are always welcome.

        Hi Judy
Oh I really really hope I can come to Mexico later in 2023. It’s been waaay to long. I’m not sure how long Leslie will be there–through the Spring? But in any case it would be so good to come for a visit and some creative time together.

You had thought about having a retreat down here with women from El Norte..Do you still have the info for QQ? D.H. Lawrence’s home that is now a hotel. Great location for a writer’s retreat and then you could nick off to my house for your own retreat.

Good morning from San Diego. Thanks for reminding me, and yes, I do still have the contact info for the resort at the Lake. Something to think about… I’m trying to make some plans for 2023 with teaching, doing some online and in-person stuff as well as outside of San Diego. With the book in the publication process, I have that timeline to coordinate all the other plans with. So grateful I get to do all this! And grateful for the open welcome at your beautiful place and more opportunities to hang out and write and make art and talk and all we do.

Right. Before the pandemic, the manager and I emailed back and forth a few times. I think you introduced us, or at least gave me the info. The place looks great, plus it has that impressive literary history.

She is. I had lost track of how much she has grown as she is still so small. But, she was tiny! And not one of my friends dissuaded me from adopting her.. even the two I was staying with whose lease said “No pets.”
