I love that one, too. I looked and looked for it, afraid that it might have been one I got from another source, but another part of me remembered taking it myself and working on editing it a long time ago. I never did find the post I’d used it in but did find a copy that had an image number, so I took it from my own camera. I also found another unaltered photo of what looks like the exact same pelican in another pose, but from the same distance. I never post photos I haven’t taken without attribution, so didn’t publish this one until I was sure I’d taken it. Still, I know it looks so different from the other photos.

I’ve never seen frigate birds come down that close to people before. This one had just stolen a fish that you can seen in its mouth.
