The first photo is one I took at sunset in La Manzanilla where for years I spent a month or two each year. The poem is made to reflect the path of moonlight or sunlight on water. This photo is going to be used for the back cover of my book soon to be published, “If I Were Water and You Were Air.”
Oops.. WP isn’t showing the first photo here.. you’ll have to go to blog to see it.

Thanks. I’ve been working nonstop on assembling this book and doing the covers for weeks and it suddenly occured to me that the back cover was perfect for this prompt.

Great collection Judy. And I love that first photo. Awesome cover photo. But what will be on the front cover?

It’s another photo I took of just one foot, one hand and an arm carrying pen and paper.. with the edge of the surf and background of the ocean. It is unfortunately a bit blurry when full-sized so I’m having an artist draw the same scene. It may or may not work.

Oh a drawing would probably be nice.

Love the poem (and the photo). So many beautiful pictures, but I love the one of boy skipping – just for the pure joy of it and also my appreciation of ‘real photographers’! :D. Even with smart-phone/smart camera for ‘dummies’ I often just take video of a a scene, and then come home, and import into iMovie, and frame, by frickn’ frame, work my way through until! “THERE! There is the beauty AND….. It’s not blurry – …..TA-DA!” – LOL. (I would spend less time if I would just carve out time, now, to take my camera and me, and sign up for class or get together with real photographers… 😀 But, que-sera, sera – this is what is ‘bandaid fix’ for now….

I love that one, too. I actually got another good one right after it, of two boys. But, I like the action in this one.

Really like the Colimas volcano and Bersaris beach sky photos, Judy. I hope I’ve spelled those correctly. Beautiful warm colours in your backyard too. Heaven.

Thanks John. I wondered if it was too obscure, but the title is explained a bit in the introduction and the title poem later in the book.

Judy, what a striking gallery. If I had to choose only one as a favorite, I guess I’d go with photo #7. Everything is beautiful in the post, but the photo resonated more with me.

Incredible place on earth. Marvelous photos. A couple are a bit phallic, I do believe. All photos magnificent.

I admit. Hard to overlook the phallic resemblances of a couple of these shots.
