Thanks, PV. It was a nice surprise. If you read my replies above you’ll know why. I am addicted to hibiscus and have so many varieties. When I see a new one I have to buy it.

My neighbor and i were sitting down in the garden and suddenly spotted it. First time it has ever bloomed for me because most years it has been covered by an invasive vine… orange thunbergia…that some call black-eyed susans. They are beautiful but drown out everything else and then turn brown and ugly and have to be pulled out.

I can’t remember ever seeing this particular hibiscus in my garden before, Tiffany. This must be the first time it has bloomed. A nice surprise.

We have a LOT of hibiscus in our neighborhood, I have to admit I think of you every time I’m tempted to take a photo of them! 😉
