Heather Cox Richardson, Sept. 7, 2024

Many of you may get her daily letters, but just in case, this is another one I feel it is so important for everyone to see.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Ha ha ha, “there used to be some way to tie them to reality. Today that seemed to be gone.” I find that a very doubtful assertion. He is a horrible human being who has lived in a world of illusion for a long long long time. He’s evil and I’m having — as many of us are — to live with the possibility that he could win and that I live in a nation of people who actually voted for him. He’s not the problem. THEY are.

Liking this produced mental dissonance. I’ve read pieces of this before, but never the whole thing. I’m not even surprised. That man is barely capable of being loose without a keeper, much less a national leader. That a large group of so-called Americans would prop him up as a candidate is as appalling as the candidate himself.

She is my main means of news, actually. I trust her judgment and she gives just enough information. Actually, I am in a state of depression over political events in the states. I will vote, but this seems to be the best method of doing something to help, much as I wish I could get mind mind off matters there. The Dem. convention was wonderful.. a mood-lifter. If only they can keep up the momentum.
