I love the story behind beauty as much as the beauty itself. The plant fragment, fallen just right for sniffing, the beauty sculpted by nature, a toothbrush in a cup, the arrangement of food on a plate, a caterpillar with a crystal crown. All of these unexpected beauties of eye and mind command our attention.

Love the praying mantis!!! 🙂

Her mate rode on her back all the way up the outside wall of my art studio to the light. Then she combed the hot surface of the bulb with her “hands” and put something in her mouth… probably dead insects fried by the heat of the bulb. No doubt she then consumed her mate as her last course as the mantis is known to do. I didn’t stick around for the finale.

Hi Judy. What a great collection! I especially love the toothbrush, the white hair, the unraveling thread….Your imagination and creative eye are wonderful!

Glad you got the two unexpected ones, Patti. The thread was actually an attempt to mend a tear in the front of a favorite blouse…not in the right place to put a brooch over it. I kept looking at it and then I realized it had a certain beauty of its own. Same with the toothbrush and cup. And you got it!!

love the way you think. See. Hear. Appreciate! In New Mexico woods Tony and I found a perfect face of a fox on a fallen trunk end. Ann

Judy, the variety in your images was captivating. I liked each photo. Sometimes, I had to linger a bit longer to appreciate the beauty. Nice gallery.

So many times the one I hesitate using is someone’s favorite. Thanks for validating it, Sofia!
