I found this before shot of the wall where all of the plants except for one cut-off and flowerless bougainvillea vine had been killed by the break in a pipe that released scalding hot water over the area. The first photo is the before. You can actually see the pipe that burst up against the wall. The remaining photos were taken after 2 1/2 weeks of replanting. If you have any before and after photos, please post them and link in my comments below!!

I envy little these days, but I envy you your garden. Also have a good gardener working with you. The design is just exquisite. It is just gorgeous.

Good work, Judy. We have far too many before and after posts. Each is prefixed in the archives with Before And After – like this one: https://derrickjknight.com/2015/10/08/before-and-after-the-rose-garden/

Wow. What a formidable task you had in removing all that material from under what became your rose garden! This challenge was right up your alley, Derrick!

I spent more than half an hour wandering the paths of your ‘Before and Afters,” Derrick. I don’t know if you see comments made in those posts from ten years ago. Do you get notice of them or is it best to comment here? Not entirely sure how WP works, even after all these years…At any rate, can’t believe the amount of work you had to do to remove all the concrete and bricks buried under your garden. Plaudits for your industry!!!
