Guest Blog: A Few More Photos

Good evening, folks, ForgottenMan back again posting for Judy. She’s still at the beach (Buscerías, Nayarit) with a friend, still wrestling with internet issues. But she managed to slip me these photos via email & Skype, so I dutifully post them here for y’all to enjoy. (Y’all know you can click on a pic to see a bigger version, right?)

Guest Blog: More Beach Photos!

Good afternoon, folks, ForgottenMan here posting for Judy. She’s still at the beach (Buscerías, Nayarit) with a friend, still wrestling with internet issues. But she managed to slip me these photos via email, so I dutifully post them here for y’all to enjoy. (Y’all know you can click on a pic to see a bigger version, right?)

Guest Blog: Judy’s at the Beach!

Good evening, folks, ForgottenMan here posting for Judy. She’s at the beach (Buscerías, Nayarit) with a friend, but with no/limited wi-fi. She was able to send me these seven photos of her time there so far (using precious cellular phone data). So, not to worry – she’ll be back when she gets the internet stuff sorted out. Meanwhile, hope y’all enjoy the pics. (Y’all know you can click on a pic to see a bigger version, right?)

10,000 Blog Posts Published!!!

Hey, y’all, ForgottenMan here. I’m tickled to have just noticed that Remi/Judy just posted her 10,000th blog here!! (So, I get to start the ball rolling for the next 10,000.)
Just for fun, HERE is her very first blog, posted 10 years ago next month.

Guest Blog: Judy’s Keyboard 2.0

Howdy, folks, ForgottenMan here. Remi, who y’all know as Judy, Skyped me this message a few minutes ago:

She was scurrying out the door to join two friends for comida at Quinta San Carlos on the southwest shore of Lake Chapala. Of course, faithful readers will remember her earlier post regarding those well-worn key caps HERE.

Note from Judy:  Unless you enlarge the photo, it may not be obvious to you that I did not buy new keys or keycaps. I actually typed the missing letters out and copied them, glued them to my keys and then covered them with tape. We’ll see how long they last. Thanks, Forgottenman, for doing my blog chores!!!

And if you’d like to check out her lunch destination, you can read about it and see photos HERE.

A Message From Judy: No Internet, No Electricity

Good evening to Judy’s blog readers & friends, this is ForgottenMan. Judy just called me. She’s been without internet and electricity at her house most of the day, and she asked me to post this for her to let y’all know she’s not ignoring anyone! She’ll update us when the electrons start flowing again.

Update 10/13/2021 5 am CDT: Judy’s internet & electric returned, at least for awhile.

Reblog: Singlish

Uno mas: the encore. Good morning, LifeLessons readers, OkcForgottenMan still here. Judy has completed her writers retreat and is planning on driving to the Pacific beach town of La Manzanilla today, so I’m extending my reblogging of some of her older poems. It’s been a fun gig for me as I have strolled back through her blog archive, wondering which to select. I’ll look forward to doing so again, when Judy feels the urge to wander.

My pick today is a delightfully imaginative ditty she posted in May, 2016. It’s called “Singlish“. I hope y’all enjoy, as always.

Reblog: Scar

Good evening, LifeLessons readers, OkcForgottenMan still here. Judy is winding down the last day of her writers retreat, and I’m here winding up reblogging some of her older poems. It’s been a fun gig for me as I have strolled back through her blog archive, wondering which to select. I’ll look forward to doing so again, when Judy feels the urge to wander.

My final pick today (and for this go-around?) is a shape poem from May, 2016. Let’s see how you like it. I do. It’s called “Scar“.

Reblog: Earned Solitude

Good evening, LifeLessons readers, OkcForgottenMan here yet again. Judy continues toiling in the final day her writers retreat in Colima, and I’m still here reblogging some of her older poems. It’s a fun gig for me as I stroll back through her blog archive, wondering which to select. I’ve done this before, and I’m looking at her posts from 2016 this go-around.

My second selection today (one more later? maybe.) is something a little different. It’s based on a NaPoWriMo prompt to write a poem to be told backwards! I think Judy did quite well. What do y’all think? The poem is titled “Earned Solitude“.

Reblog: Jake

Good afternoon, LifeLessons readers, OkcForgottenMan here again. Judy is in the seventh – and final – day of her writers retreat, and I’m still here reblogging some of her older poems. It’s a fun gig for me as I stroll back through her blog archive, wondering which to select. I’ve done this before, and I’m looking at her posts from 2016 this go-around.

My first selection today (I hope to post more) is “Jake“, wherein she takes words rhyming with “Jake” to a whole new level. I hope y’all enjoy as much as I did when I first read it, and when I did again, just now.
