Tiny Flower of the Day, Oct 30, 2018

This flower was so tiny that I would have missed it if I hadn’t been on my knees!  Those are blades of grass around it if you need a basis for scale. It was smaller in diameter than a dime.

Hibiscus: FOTD, Oct 29, 2018

This shadow of a potential hibiscus flower now long dead creates the interest for me in this photo taken months ago in Mexico.

Tiny Nosegay: Flower of the Day, Oct 13, 2018

This is a macro of a nosegay so tiny that it was impossible to see the intricacy of the flowers until I blew up the macro.  So pretty and totally overlooked as individual flowers without this boost. It was a tiny centerpiece on my friend Patty’s dinner table. The entire bunch was about two inches across and the flowers about a half inch wide.

Below is a photo of the table with the flower cluster above  seen on the green striped mat in the center of the table.  There are actually two clusters of the flower in that tiny vase.  I’m showing this so you can see the flowers to scale with the other objects on the table as the flowers above are enlarged greatly.
