“Framed!” for Lens-Artists Challenge #162

Other than my art objects, (I know, that first one is cheating)I think my most frequent way to frame a shot is through trees or  with surrounding plants. The telephone wires overhead in the hummingbird shot give a contrast in frames to the plants below–like the two extremes. The bright orange swatch framed by beach litter is less contrived than the shots through plane and car and house windows. Zoe, about to be released from jail, says she didn’t do it. She was framed!!! This is my third go at trying to find photos for this prompt. The first two groups were erased before I could save them. This one I saved after every photo. Tedious, but I’m finally posting four hours later!! Don’t fail to see the photos in the link below. They are much more inspiring than mine:

For the Weekly Prompt: Frame

Framed

Framed

When I’m tired of television, my digestive tract
draws me to the kitchen and there we make a pact.
Shoe by shoe, approach the fridge and though the hour is late,
We stuff ourselves with what’s inside ’til appetites abate.

Making sorties on the fridge with just my own collusion?
The thought I’ll get away with it it’s merely an illusion.
They’re bound to miss that half a pie, but then the plot will thicken
when they  note the absence of half a tub of chicken.

I leave the fridge a bit ajar, the Colonel’s box in front of it,
hoping when it’s time to blame that I won’t take the brunt of it.
I put the pie plate on the floor, increasing the odds that
if I spread bones around it, perhaps they’ll blame the cat!

Prompt words today are illusion, television, late, tract and shoe.

IMG_7483IMG_7477IMG_7018IMG_7040 (1)When Proteccion Civil directed that three blocks of the mountainside fraccionamiento I  live in should be evacuated because of feared landslides from Hurricane Patricia, there was very little time to decide just what to take.  In the pounding rain, Pasiano and I unloaded my car, which was full of cartons of art supplies for the calaveras decorating and loaded dog cages, a few clothes, dog food, food from my refrigerator and three dogs. Here Frida stands peering over the back seat, framed by the hatchback of my minivan.  Actually, this picture was taken the day we came back. The beer was a gift I bought at a microbrewery on my way home–a gift for the friends where we had taken shelter for the night.

IMG_7045Since three dogs seemed a bit much to inflict upon my friend Audrey, Frida stayed with other friends: Glenda and Mario.  Not knowing if they’d let us come back home the next day, I had brought only Morrie and Diego back with me to inquire at the office if we could move back in. When the answer was affirmative, I left Diego and Morrie at home and went to get our stuff and Frida.  Here they stand framed by the garage gate, waiting for their sister to be “unloaded.” Luckily, no rain at all on this day we were supposed to get 20 inches and have 100 mph. winds!  The whole moving out debacle ended up being much ado about nothing. Luckily!!
