Kitchen Inspirations for Lens Artist Challenge

My kitchen looked much larger before I added the center island on wheels, but it has a lot more work and storage space now.  I moved my grandmother and mother’s crocks down from where they usually reside on top of the cupboards just for this photo. We were asked to also photograph our favorite cup. This Talavera cup is my favorite, partially because it is the biggest cup in the cupboard, but I also love its design.

Art Challenge #6: Sacred Spaces, The Kitchen

I’ve been falling behind on my posting for my friend Linda Levy’s Art Challenge to post ten examples of my art. The piece is one of a series of six depicting sacred spaces of women.

Nothing vampirish about it. I reorganize kitchen cupboards! Lucky you. You get to see. These kind of projects best done between the hours of 8 PM and 1 AM. (You’ll want to click on these to see them in detail. I’m checking the stats. I’ll know if you don’t!!!)

I hate dealing with garlic! So, I’ve devoted a bit of research and a few dollars to resolving the problem and would like to show you my process for dealing with those little cloves more efficiently.
