Cats always choose the exact right place to pose themselves. This is Ollie photobombing the bougainvillea. Why is it odd? First of all, because it is rare to see him without his sister, Kukla, and secondly because this is the first time he has been the one to greet me up on the wall when I return home. Usually it is Kukla. Or is it because that’s an odd number of leaves on the bougainvillea bush? Check and see.

I can’t remember ever seeing a creature like this before. If it is a wasp, I’ve never seen one with these markings. It took a nap on my fern for so long I feared it was dead, but when I came out again, it had flown away.
