Dry Eyes

Dry Eyes

Your eyes were dust, mine were a flood.
The combination, a mire of mud
that we somehow wound up in.
You blamed it on original sin,
but I, agnostic to the core,
had wisdom to walk out the door
to spend my tears on other guys.
Never trust a guy with arid eyes.

The prompt word today was arid.

    Remi
Wow … I have to use drops to keep mine healthy. Have I ever cried? Of course. My ex. however was the proverbial flood. When I asked why? She would shake her head and not answer. That does not help with sympathy.

Agnostic eh? Do you know how many who claim that? The moment anything goes wrong, they cry “Oh God”. Hmmm? Ain’t life odd?
    Cheers Jamie.

I also say “Hell” but don’t believe in it. God, Jesus, Hell and Holy Ghost have come meanings and uses other than liturgical. And, after all, an agnostic is not the same as an atheist, so is allowed to sway. They neither believe nor disbelieve. I most often resort to prayer when constipated.
