Few besides this fellow climb as high as the bougainvilleas do.
This was how high up he eventually got, and other palms he climbed this day were twice as high!

The most beautiful site with bourgainvillea I ever saw was in Loule, Portugal. My husband and I found a gem of a small hotel off the beaten path in Loule. In front of the hotel was a square park with flowers within. Then around the park were tall fences filled with bourgainvillea. The park was dead quiet with just birds flying around.
In Loule, we had the most beautiful hotel room I’ve ever been in with a HUGE outdoor veranda looking over this garden park and miles and miles of rural Portuguese landscape beyond the picturesque town.

Portugal is beautiful. It was the first foreign country I ever visited, other than a border town in Mexico.

I would not want to be the one climbing those palm trees. Great shot Judy.
