I had a yellow and purple Spanish Dancer hibiscus that I shot yesterday all ready to post. Then I saw this red one, just born today, and changed my mind. Here’s a little closer view:

I so rarely see hibiscus out here….and then only in nurseries. 😀

I just love hibiscus! I once had a large one in a pot on my deck. It’s a pity we couldn’t keep it for the next year.
Judy, I always look forward to your posts. For that reason I nominated you along with a few other bloggers for the Sunshine Blogger Award. If you would like to accept it, see https://birdflight.blog/2017/06/18/sunshine-blogger-award/

I could never keep them alive for long on my sunporch in Wyoming either, but they certainly thrive in Mexico!!

My hibiscus looked beautiful on my deck in New Jersey, but I had no room to bring it in during the cold seasons. They are not that expensive, though. I would have considered one again, but my husband is crazy for fern. We have about eight pots of fern between our deck and front porch. We also have oodles of petunias.

I love ferns as well. I tend to fill in between other plants with them..Prefer not to see the dirt.. ha.
